Spending the day at West Beach @ Indiana Dunes National Park! The plan for the day is to do a bit of hiking in the morning and then spend the rest of the day at the beach, catching some sun and lake breeze :)

Don't forget to grab the sun screen, camping chairs/blankets, hat and food & drinks.

Join for hiking in the morning or for the beach time afterwards. West Beach offers a great combination of hiking and relaxing at the beach. The trails are varied and encompass many habitats. There are great views from the top of the Dune Succession Trail stairs, a beautiful pinery of jack pines, birding opportunities along Long Lake and secluded sections of forest. After hiking, relax and swim at the beach.

Parking (8am - 11pm):
From the start of Memorial Day weekend through the end of Labor Day weekend, West Beach has an expanded amenity fee to enter: $6.00

West Beach Parking Lot
376 North County Line Road, Gary, IN 46403.

For those who would like to start the day with hiking, we will be meeting at the Bath House at 9am, meaning you should hit the parking lot by 8:30am, so please park accordingly.

The second scoop from the bath house is planned for 11:30am, in case you missed the first round.
