Heavenly Skiing Mar 2018
Few ski resorts can match Heavenly's scenic beauty and expansive network of lifts, terrain, trails and snowmaking. Located on the south shore of Lake Tahoe, Heavenly is the region's largest ski area, featuring the highest elevation and longest vertical drop. The views of Lake Tahoe and the Sierra Nevada mountain range are magnificent.


Caberfae Peaks Carpool Trip Mar 2018
We are going to do a carpool trip the weekend March 9th to 11th to Caberfae MI. The condo complex has an indoor pool, hot tub and steam room. We will do a group dinner in one of the units or in the clubhouse, if it is available. People will be responsible for their own breakfasts and lunches.


Keystone Jan 2018
Keystone Resort is comprised of three incredible mountains - Dercum Mountain, North Peak and The Outback. They offer some of the best terrain: 5 bowls, bumps, glades, rails... Keystone is the largest ski resort in Summit County and the closest to Denver. Keystone has the most reliable conditions, 230 natural inches of snow each year and 956 acres.

Fish Creek WI Labor Day Trip Sept 2017
Suggested Itinerary: Friday night - Set up camp and Pot Luck Dinner. Friday night Barbecue is provided by the Pine Point. Please BYOB and bring a dish to pass. Saturday: Reservations are set for 10:00 Kayaking. Campfire Breakfast provided and more Barbecue for Sat dinner.

Elroy Sparta Trail Ride/Camping Jun 2017
Join Pine Point for a build your own adventure weekend! Wildcat Mountain State Park has 20 miles of hiking trails. The Elroy-Sparta Bike Trail is 32 miles long. Kickapoo Valley Reserve, which borders to the south of Wildcat Mountain, has another 60 miles of hiking trails and 24 miles of mountain biking trails.

Join us for some blues & great conversation on the third day of the 33rd Chicago Blues Festival. Make sure to grab your blanket, picnic basket and, not to forget, your fabulous self! The Chicago Blues Festival is the largest free blues festival in the world and remains the largest of Chicago's Music Festivals.

Big Sky Montana Apr 2017
This was listed as the largest ski resort (at 5,800 acres) in the United States before the merger of Park City/Canyons. More acres than skiers - boasting about two acres per skier as they disburse over the inbounds(!) terrain. Consistently recognized short or non-existent lines. What more can you ask for?

Snow Bird Utah Feb 2017
Terrain: 27 percent beginner, 38 percent intermediate, 35 percent advanced/expert. Elevation: Top of resort is 11,000-foot Hidden Peak, lowest point on the mountain is bottom of Baby Thunder chairlift at 7,760 feet. The 125-person Tram covers 2,900 vertical feet in approximately 7 minutes.

Kayaking Skokie Lagoon Jun 2016
Peaceful pools and winding channels make the Skokie Lagoons a prime destination for boating and fishing. At the Lagoon there is an island in front of the launch that usually takes 45 minutes to an hour to circle; another route is to go north under Tower Rd. and circle back. This can be about 1 hour. Doing both would be a 2-hour trip.

Banff Canada Mar 2016

Weekend Trip Chestnut Mar 2016
Chestnut has a 475-foot vertical drop with some great beginner slopes and a couple heart dropping steep runs. The Farside (terrain park) has more than 25 rails and features and is served by its own triple chair lift. It’s the largest of its kind in the Midwest. There are 3 restaurants in the 20,000 sf lodge with choices to satisfy the mid-day hunger pangs.

NYE Trip Granite Peak Jan 2016
Friday and Saturday, we will be headed to the slopes of Granite Peak for 2 fun days on the snow there plus 3 nights of lodging. On Sunday morning, we pack up and start our drive home. But, wait, there's more skiing! We stop at Cascade for a fun filled day on a different ski hill.

Kettle McBlain Camping/ Biking Aug 2015
Bring family and friends and join us for camping weekend at Benson’s Campground near Campbellsport, Wisconsin, about a 3 hour drive from Chicago. We encourage you try out the weekend activities Pine Point has in store for you, however, if you just want to come out and spend a lazy weekend in the woods – that will work too :)

Memorial Day Bike Ride & BBQ May 2015
Join Pine Point for the first major outdoor activity of the summer. We will start at Caldwell Woods (The Bunker Hill picnic entrance off Caldwell Ave. & Touhy Ave) Saturday morning for a bike ride / skate along the North Branch trail and return for a BBQ about 1:30.

LaCross WI Mar 2015
We are heading back to La Crosse WI to ski 2 days at a great place that has the steepest run in mid-America. Are you ready for "Damnation!"? Yes, the exclamation point is part of the run name. A unique, old style chalet has a great fireplace and “award winning bar” at the ski hill. La Crosse has 516 vertical, with 3 chairs and 18 trails.

Taos New Mexico Feb 2015
Join us on this trip to experience Southwestern charm, adobe-style architecture, a special historic place where they use chiles as decorations. To the non-skier Taos is an artistic community, to the skier it's NIRVANA. Few of you skiers have ever been here and most likely if you are a boarder you have never been here (they just allowed boarders a couple of years ago).
